After a fast start with birdies on the first three holes, it took birdies on the last two holes for Chad Urban and Brian Murray to defeat Jim Rowen and Sean Rowen, to become the 2008 South Grove Spring Four-Ball Champions. Great Playing!

South Grove Golf Course
Built in 1902, South Grove Golf Course is the closest 18 hole golf course to downtown Indianapolis. Like many courses built in the early 1900's, the golf course architect is unknown. The present clubhouse was opened in 1989. The old clubhouse was just north of the present clubhouse on the location of the new putting green. Many people were sorry to see the old building torn down because of the rich history and traditions it held, however due to its condition, it would have cost more to fix the old building than to build the new one.

Over the years, South Grove has hosted many of the city and state's top amateur tournaments. The most popular of these events is the South Grove Spring Four-Ball, which has kicked-off the golf season every year in Indiana since 1948. A plaque hangs in the clubhouse with the winner's names from each year. Beginning in 1996 the addition of the South Grove Senior Four-Ball served as an ending event for Indiana's golf season.
